What goes into a Dharma Herald edition
I
Checked against the original
Every page is proofread against the scan of the first printing. Misprints are corrected, and each change is recorded in the editorial notes.
II
Sanskrit you can say aloud
The verses keep their Devanagari, with a plain reading underneath, spelt the same way every time.
III
Pictures that teach
New diagrams use only the words and ideas of the book itself, and each plate sits beside the story it shows.
IV
Made to be used
A full index with page references, footnotes kept with their passages, and an eBook in which every reference is a link.
